Royal India support Refugee Rights in Raleigh / Triangle Area of North Carolina
As the oldest Indian restaurant in Raleigh, Royal India is committed to supporting charitable causes to support the under-privileged in Raleigh and beyond. In the past, we have supported healthcare and education access charities. Recently, Royal India has partnered with Raleigh-based People’s Power Lab to support refugees from many countries living in Raleigh and the broader Triangle Area of NC. Many refugees have are forced to seek refuge due to extreme violence, economic crisis, and other challenges. Royal India has supported working class refugees from many countries, including Rohingya, Afghan, Syrian, Somali, Congolese, Ugandan, and other refugees.

We support the work of People’s Power Lab and provide food and monetary donations for refugee youth and adults. Research shows that low income and lack of food force many youths out of school and decrease their chances for economic stability in the long term. Royal India also provides our restaurant space for meetings for refugee support work. We also host forums with local public officials, nonprofits, community organizers, and the broader community to strategize on how to make Raleigh and the broader Triangle area a better place for working-class and underprivileged community members. We look to hosting you at such a forum in the future.
